This album is dark and cold — except one song with a burning heart. 午前3時まだ君を待つ is about waiting for someone you know isn’t coming.
The scene it came from
A convenience store window at 3AM. Fluorescent light, a coffee gone cold, your own face reflected in the glass. Waiting that continues past the point where waiting makes sense. The reflection in the cover art is deliberate — a person who waits ends up sitting across from their own reflection.
Sound notes
Melodically, this is almost a classic J-pop ballad. So I deliberately wrapped it in the coldest synths on the album — white, heatless sounds like convenience store fluorescents. A warm heart sealed behind cold glass. Under the “Wait, wait” chorus there’s a low hum like a refrigerator — almost nobody notices it, which is exactly why I like it.

She knows better than anyone that the waiting is foolish. Choosing it anyway — that’s how everyone on this album lives.
