Behind the Track (2nd Album) #3 — 消したはずの (The One I Deleted)
The photos, the chats, the name — all deleted. It was their own thumb that pressed “yes” on “Delete this?” But dialing the number, the fingers know it halfway through. They never forgot the rhythm.
The scene it came from
The feeling that something is still glowing on a screen wiped clean. Only the screen got erased — and some things, like correction-pen marks, only get darker the more you erase. The failure of deletion is the whole subject.
Sound notes
94 BPM, B minor. Glitch and reverse form the skeleton. The vocal is chopped into stutters that cut off mid-word, as if being deleted — the sound of the delete button, performed by a voice. And where it cuts, a reversed tail lingers, the way afterimages do.
