The last track isn’t an ending — it’s a rewind. 午前4時のリピート replays a story that should have ended, again and again. It’s also a song about the structure of the whole album.
The scene it came from
An empty underground platform, the first train still hours away. Running into someone months after it ended. A stranger-like “long time no see,” and eyes that smile exactly the way they used to. The platform became the final scene because the tracks curve away into the dark like a loop.
Sound notes
Since the title is “on repeat,” the structure itself is a loop. The intro synth pattern returns untouched in the outro, and the ending doesn’t end — it repeats into a fade. And one more thing: buried faintly in the outro is the bass line from track 1, 毒でいいの. Play the album on repeat and track 7 flows straight back into track 1. The night never ends; she just walks back to the elevator.

朝になったら また他人に戻ろう — When morning comes, let’s go back to being strangers
Track 2’s “strangers by morning” returns here — but this time it’s spoken like a promise, not a resignation. The same sentence means something different after a full lap around the night.
