The 3rd album had to open not with a confession but with a realization — that point where nothing has happened yet, and you’re already losing sleep. 好きかもしれない is a song that never manages to say “I like you,” because the moment you say it, you can see the end.
The scene it came from
A reply rewritten three times. Fixing your hair in the mirror with no plans to meet anyone. And the contact list — the people you talk to most float to the top, and there that name is, first in line. “The machine was more honest than me” was the first lyric written for this song. Hide it all you want; the record stays.
Sound notes
86 BPM, G-sharp minor. The most cautious track on the record. The kick beats low like a heartbeat and there are almost no hi-hats. The feeling hasn’t been found out by anyone yet — so the sound wasn’t allowed to get loud either.
