Behind the Track #1 — 毒でいいの (Poison Is Fine)
Choosing the opening track didn’t take long. Every night begins the same way — with a decision you already know is bad. 毒でいいの turns that exact moment into sound.
The scene it came from
11PM, elevator numbers falling. Footsteps of someone who left their daytime self in the room. The first lyric — “the elevator numbers falling down” — was really the blueprint for the whole track: the song itself keeps descending, floor by floor.
Sound notes
A low pulsing bass with a whispered vocal on top. Even the chorus never shouts — bad decisions aren’t made loudly, they’re made quietly. The synths collapse instead of the voice. For the line about “sweet numbness,” the chorus synth is deliberately detuned, just slightly off.
One line
毒でいいの もう一口だけ — Poison is fine, just one more sip
“One more sip” is the attitude of the entire album: knowing you should stop and not stopping. That feeling carries all the way to track 7.
