5 AM, the gap in the curtains turning blue. A sleepless night — but for a different reason this time. The album closes with the person who hears the first train in the distance and, today, doesn’t have to catch it.
The scene it came from
Brewing two cups of coffee and being okay when one went spare. Nothing was confessed — they simply didn’t run, and that’s the whole night. If the 2nd album closed on “I can walk even without forgetting,” the 3rd closes on “I can stay beside someone while still afraid.” Not overcoming the fear — remaining, with it.
Sound notes
88 BPM, E major — the only major key in all seven tracks. And the reverb that wrapped the whole album finally clears here. The sound moves closer; the room gets lighter. The last chorus’s “Still here” was meant to sound like it’s sung from the seat beside you, not from a speaker.

The album title 「怖いままで」 comes from this line. It isn’t a story where the fear disappears — it’s one where you stay, scared as you are. That’s why only the last track is in a major key.
